Regarded as one of the world’s best rugby union players, he played over 100 times for Ireland and toured with the British & Irish Lions three times, winning numerous titles with Munster.

Tommy Conlon is a sportswriter for the Sunday Independent and the author of numerous sport books including the award-winning Keith Earls: Fight or Flight. He is a native of Ballinamore, Co Leitrim
